Kona Slots Ironman Frankfurt 2019
The Ironman Kona World Championships — a grueling 140.6-mile triathlon in sweltering Hawaii — stream live on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app on Saturday.

On 2019 performances, Jocelyn McCauley is one to watch in Kona this year. She won Ironman New Zealand back in March in impressive style and then led Ryf at Ironman Texas for most of the race.
The men’s race starts at 6:25 a.m. local time (12:25 p.m. ET) with the 2.4-mile swim. The women start in Kailua Bay water five minutes later. The swim is followed by a 112-mile bike on the Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway and then a marathon to the Kona finish line.
The fastest triathletes will complete the course in eight hours.

- Qualifying isn't the only route to Kona, though. There are four ways you can find yourself at the starting line for the IRONMAN World Championship: earning a slot at one of the full-distance qualifiers held around the world, getting a spot through the IRONMAN Legacy program, winning an entry in the IRONMAN Lottery Program or purchasing an entry through the IRONMAN Foundation's charitable eBay.
- Ironman Kona Legacy Slot - Day Before Announcement Tomorrow at 9:00am west coast time Ironman will announce who will receive the Legacy Slots that send 200 eligible athletes to Kona. I applied at the end of last year and am in the cue for a slot.
- The winners of the Ironman 70.3 Championships receive a place for Kona next year. This slot must be verified by ending at least one Ironman. If an athlete has not validated his 70.3 slot, '(NV)' is added.
Kona Slots Ironman Frankfurt 2019 Dates
NBCSN coverage runs from noon-2 p.m. ET. NBC and NBCSN will also have occasional check-ins throughout the afternoon, culminating with finish coverage around 8:30 p.m. ET.
On Sunday, NBCSN will air a recap show from 2-3 p.m. ET.
